A 66-year-old man died on Monday (October 30) after his apartment in the village of Qesarat in Saranda was engulfed in flames. 

The police informs that the elderly man with the initials M. F. lived alone in the apartment and it is suspected that he died after being suffocated by smoke. 

Meanwhile, the investigative group is working to fully clarify the circumstances of the event. 

"Around 15:30, in the village of Qesarat, it is suspected that a fire accidentally broke out in the apartment where the citizen M.F., 66 years old, lived alone, who is suspected to have asphyxiated from the smoke and as a result died.
