Saranda Shooting, Police Arrests 23-Year-Old

The 23-year-old, Claudio Qendro, was arrested this Wednesday by the Saranda Police, after firing a firearm in the air on Tuesday. 

The blue uniforms searched his apartment, where they found quantities of suspected narcotics cocaine and cannabis, a sum of money and military ammunition, which were seized as material evidence. 

"Following the actions taken in relation to the event that happened yesterday, in neighbourhood no. 1, Saranda, where a 23-year-old man committed an involuntary shooting with a pistol that he was carrying without a permit, while driving a vehicle, we inform you that: 

During the check in the area in which the 23-year-old tried to leave quickly after abandoning the vehicle, the Police services, after several hours of searching, made it possible to find the pistol firearm, which this citizen had thrown behind a building, while who was being followed by the Police services. 

Yesterday, 23-year-old Claudio Qendro caused panic in the public after he fired involuntarily with this firearm while driving a vehicle. After the incident, he abandoned the vehicle and tried to leave, but was caught after a few minutes of pursuit by the Police services. 

Following the actions, the Police also searched the residence of this citizen, where they found quantities of suspected narcotics cocaine and cannabis, a sum of money and military ammunition, which were seized as material evidence. 

At the end of the procedural actions, the crime investigation specialists of the Sarandë Police Station arrested the citizen K. Q., 23 years old, resident of neighbourhood no. 1, Saranda," the police informed.
