The deputy chairman of the Democratic Party, Enkelejd Alibeaj, reacts after the scandal with the salaries of Albanians, which are circulating on WhatsApp, demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister Edi Rama.  

In a statement from the blue headquarters, Alibaj said that the publication of the salaries of over 630 thousand citizens is part of the patronageists' scheme for the purchase of elections.

Today, we all faced a scandal of extraordinary proportions. The government of Edi Rama has put on the market the salaries of over 630 thousand citizens, Albanian citizens and foreigners working in Albania. The personal and sensitive data of over 630 thousand citizens are found today published on social networks and in the hands of anyone who uses the whatsapp application. Edi Rama's government has completely failed to protect personal and sensitive data on salaries, personal identification number, workplace of over 630 thousand citizens. 

The Democratic Party believes that the publication of data on the salaries of over 630 thousand citizens is part of the same patronageists' scheme used by the Socialist Party to purchase the elections. 

We all know that a few weeks before the elections, the personal data of more than 900 thousand citizens, which are available only to the government, were misused by the head of government Edi Rama to buy his third term. 

For us, there is no doubt that the list published today, which belongs to the salaries received by over 630 thousand citizens in January 2021, a few weeks before the elections, is part of the party-state strategy to use sensitive information for electoral purposes. 

Today the salaries and sensitive data of over 630 thousand citizens are in the Bazaar due to a state fallen into the hands of party militants, which Edi Rama uses for his personal power. Today, every citizen of the Republic of Albania must ask Edi Rama to resign. 

Their personal data, their salary has fallen into the hands of evildoers and only Edi Rama is responsible for this with an insatiable thirst for power. 

Edi Rama must take responsibility for this scandal of extraordinary proportions! As the main advocate and inspirer of the illegal patronage scheme for the acquisition of power, his government has exposed to anyone the data of citizens, including their salary and place of work. 

Edi Rama must resign today! Justice must act before it is too late! A power stolen by abusing the state should not and can not be kept on its feet for long!
