Serbian Arrested in Durres, Awaiting Extradition on Drugs Charges

Durrës police have arrested Sunday a man from Serbia, who was declared internationally wanted for the criminal offense "Illegal production and distribution of narcotics".

Law enforcement revealed that the handcuffed person’s name is Miroslav Krstic, 39 years old, resident of Sredar, Belgrade, Serbia that has been sentenced to 3 years and 3 months in prison and whose extradition is expected.

The arrest of this citizen was made after the Supreme Court in Subotica, Serbia, sentenced him to prison for producing and dealing narcotics.

“The structures of DVP Durrës, as a result of the continuous exchange of information with the OCC Interpol Tirana, made possible the capture and arrest for the purpose of extradition to Serbia of the citizen Miroslav Krstic, 39 years old, resident in Sredar, Belgrade, Serbia.

The arrest of this citizen was made after the Supreme Court in Subotica, Serbia, sentenced him to 3 years and 3 months in prison, for the criminal offense "Illegal production and distribution of narcotics."

Interpol Tirana follows the procedures for the extradition of this citizen to Serbia”, announced the Albanian police.
