The Greek Border Police has notified Sunday the Albanian side that due to bad weather, the movement of heavy tonnage vehicles towards Greece will be blocked.

The blockage started from 17:00 pm, 12.01.2025, as snowfalls caused problems in this area.

According to Greek police, only cars and buses will be allowed to travel, but even those should be equipped with chains.

Fully opening of the border will be after the weather situation normalizes.
