An apartment in the neighborhood "Xhabie" in Shkodra was engulfed in flames this Thursday. Sources suggest that an elderly man about 74 years old who was in the apartment at the time of the fire has died. 

He could not move because he was paralyzed. Meanwhile, his wife was sent to the hospital where she is receiving medical assistance due to injuries she received while trying to save her husband.

The elderly couple lived alone while the cause that led to the fall of the flames is suspected to have been the gas cylinder. Firefighters have already arrived and are working to extinguish the flames.
