Skrapar, Man Arrested on Drugs Cultivation Charges

Berat police have cracked down Thursday on another case of attempted cultivation of narcotic plants and arrested a 36-year-old man, suspected as the person who has committed the offense.

At the end of the first investigative actions, the specialists for the Investigation of Crimes arrested citizen Lulezim Shallari, 36 years old, resident in the village of Greve, Skrapar, as reported.

During the search of Shallari’s apartment, a metal handle was found and seized by the officers and the perpetrator will now face the justice on the criminal offense "Cultivation of narcotic plants".

Apart from the arrest, the criminal proceedings started against citizen with initials F. Sh., 65 years old, acting administrator of the Administrative Unit Zhep, as it is suspected that he has committed the criminal offense "Abuse of duty".

Meanwhile, the materials were forwarded to the Berat Judicial District Prosecutor's Office for further action.

“Skrapar Police Services, based on the information provided, following the control of the territory, in order to identify and crack down on cases of attempted cultivation of narcotic plants, have identified narcotic seedlings of cannabis sativa cultivated in a forested area in the village of Greva, Skrapar.

At the end of the first investigative actions, the Specialists for the Investigation of Crimes in the Skrapar Police Commissariat arrested the citizen L. Sh., 36 years old, resident in the village of Greve, Skrapar, suspected of the criminal offense ‘Cultivation of narcotic plants’”, announced the police.
