The Socialist Party proposed May 11, 2025 as the Parliamentary elections' day.

In the meeting held this Monday with the President, Bajram Begaj, this party argued that this is the last day suggested by the Constitution and gives more time to those involved to prepare even the vote of the Albanian diaspora.

"We have proposed May 11 to give time to the process to be perfect," said the Secretary General of SP, Blendi Klosi.

Democrats refused to participate in talks of the elections.

May 11 was proposed even by the Head of the Central Elections Commission, Ilirjan Celibashi.
