SPAK Finalizes Operation against Cyber Crime 'Rydox'
The Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) finalized the operation against cyber crime this Thursday coded 'RYDOX' arresting three administrators.
In collaboration with international institutions, SPAK destroyed the illegal market.
Since February 2016, Rydox has conducted over 7,600 information sales that generated at least $230,000 in revenue. The platform has provided over 321,372 cybercrime products to a user base of 18,000 individuals, including stolen personally identifiable information such as names, addresses, and Social Security numbers, credit card information, and login credentials of thousands of individuals residing in the United States.
As part of the operation, the authorities seized the domain www.Rydox.cc, preventing further use of this platform for illegal trading. Visitors to the site will now see a banner announcing the seizure by federal authorities, in cooperation with SPAK and international partners. Investigations continue to fully determine the criminal responsibility of the suspects and complete the investigation into the entire criminal chain.
