The Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) requested a sentence of 2 years and 8 months in prison for Leonard Palushi, the former head of the investigation in the Elbasan Police, as he is accused of corruption. 

He is suspected of having received a "Benz" type vehicle from the citizen Erjon Alibej, who is accused of being the organizer of several criminal events that took place in the city of Elbasan. 

Palushi was arrested during the "Golden Bullet" operation in May last year. His name emerged from the testimony of the repentant justice, Nuredin Dumani. 

According to the file prepared by SPAK, the defendant Leonard Palushi, who was effective in Elbasan, when he held the position of Head of the Crime Investigation Sector, in 2020, established relations with the investigated Erjon Alibej. 

It has been proven that Palushi took a "Mercedes Benz" type car from the investigator Erjon Alibej on June 23. The defendant Leonard Palushi, being aware that this action was against the law, has carried out camouflage actions to cover the fact of the donation and the real owner of this vehicle by presenting as the buyer a citizen known to him. 

According to the investigations, the defendant, Leonard Palushi, supported the investigated Erjon Alibej, since in the role of a police officer he met him repeatedly, meetings of which his superiors declared that they were not aware. 

From the investigations, it turned out that on July 27, 2020, at the request of Erjon Alibej, officer Leonard Palushi gave information about the location of the weapon to the Manhas service, in order to create a conflict between the two groups, according to Alibej's request. In the file of the Special Prosecutor's Office, it is said that Palushi, commissioned by Erion Alibej, the financier of the murder of Emiljano Ramazani, did everything to disrupt the investigations.

Meanwhile, the murder of Emiljano Ramazani took place on July 20, 2020. Erion Alibej was the financier of this murder, Nuredin Dumani was the organizer, Skerdi Tasi was the executioner, and Henrik Hoxhaj, Xhuljano Hoxha and Euglen Halili were the execution assistants.
