SPAK Seeks 1 Year in Prison for Former Head of C. Court

The Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime (SPAK) requests a year in prison for Bashkim Dedja, the former head of the Constitutional Court. But pursuant to Article 59, the suspension of the execution of the sentence and placement in probation for 2 years is required. Dedja is accused by SPAK of "concealment and non-declaration of assets". 

According to the Prosecutor's Office, the former number one of the Constitution, has hidden in statements an apartment located in the "Ormars" complex, Kryemedhenj, Golem. 

He also made a false declaration of the source of the creation of the apartment in Tirana with an area of 146 m2, related to a loan taken from his brother-in-law.
