Igli Tare will no longer be Lazio's sporting director. The news was announced by the former national team player himself, who thus ends his adventure with the capital of Italy after 18 years. 

"After 18 years, my wonderful experience as sporting director of Lazio has come to an end. I made this choice for some time, but I waited until Lazio reached the objective of going to the Champions League, confident that I built a strong squad, with exceptional players who achieved this objective. 

It was a long adventure made up of happy moments, defeats and trophies. I will never stop thanking president Lotito for this great opportunity, the blue and white fans who entered my heart, the club with all the members, players, staff and everyone who was close to me in this journey. 

Special thanks to my family, who have always stood by me. A prestigious opportunity that has been given to me as a footballer and as a manager and that I will certainly never forget, taking every moment of this journey with me.
