Swiss Plane with Children on Board Lands in Rinas after Defect

Tirana International Airport (TIA) announced Tuesday night that flights were suspended for about 2 hours after the incident with the plane piloted by a Swiss citizen.

According to the TIA, a plane with 4 people on board, 2 adults and two children, made a forced landing in the middle of the runway after suffering a breakdown in the wheel system.

Following the landing, the passengers were given first aid immediately and thankfully no one was injured and all four are in full health.

Afterwards, the plane moved off the runway and flights have resumed after about two hours of having been suspended, TIA informed.

“Tirana International Airport announces that at 16:15 on September 28, 2021, a small Beechcraft model aircraft with Swiss registration HB-EFH, with 4 people on board, two adults and two children, all Swiss citizens, made a forced landing in the middle of the track after suffering a breakdown in the wheel system.

Passengers were given first aid immediately. Thankfully there are no injuries and all four are in full health.

Following the notification of the National Air Incident Investigation Body and the investigation in the runway area, the plane was moved from the runway, as a result, operations at Tirana International Airport were suspended for 1 hour and 45 minutes”, announced the Tirana Airport’s press office.
