This morning an anti-drug operation was carried out by the carabinieri of the investigative unit of the provincial command of Vibo Valentia. Eight helicopters and anti-drug dogs were involved in the operation for the execution of 11 arrest warrants issued by the investigating judge at the request of the DDA of Catanzaro.

The suspects are accused of transporting, possessing, selling and transferring large quantities of narcotics such as cocaine, heroin, marijuana and hashish, as well as buying and transferring narcotic substances.

The investigative activity is the continuation of the "Maestrale-Carthago" operation developed against the "Ndrangheta" gangs in the area of ??Vibos and, according to the accusation, it has made possible the finding of involvement in the association dedicated to the trafficking of narcotics. The amount of narcotics came from abroad, especially from Albania.
