Theth Village Abandoned as Tourists Turn Back Due to Road Blocked by Snow

Although the temperatures in the country have increased significantly this early May, the road leading to the tourist village of Theth continues to be blocked by snow, obligating the tourists to turn back where they came from.

In a time when the coastal areas have started to welcome tourists near the sea, the thickness of the snow in Theth goes over 5 meters.

A week ago, an excavator returned to Qafë Thore in an attempt to clear the blocked road. The director of works for the opening of the road, Ahmet Hoxha shows that it will take about a month for the road to be fully opened to the center of Theth.

Dozens of foreign and local tourists who wanted to visit Theth, have turned back due to the road blocked by snow in Qafë Thore. Meanwhile, other vehicles that have opened the road from Boga to Qafë Thore, have damaged it in many parts of it, including the protective sides.

In recent months, residents of the Qafe Thore and Theth areas have been isolated and blocked by snow. Their requests for the opening of the road have been numerous, but attempts by the institutions have been few. Consequently, the spring found this area again blocked and whitened by snow.
