Tirana Airport Issues Important Announcement for Travellers
Tirana International Airport (TIA) informs all passengers who have planned to travel on Tuesday, December 6, to show up at the airport four hours before their flight due to the measures taken for the EU-Western Balkans summit.
Through a post on social media, TIA clarifies how the presence of citizens 4 hours before is required so that passengers do not risk missing their flight.
Tomorrow, December 6, Tirana will be sorrounded by numerous security forces, as our capital will host the EU-Western Balkans Summit.
About 1,500 personnel are expected to be on the ground to ensure the success of the summit. To ensure the safety of the European leaders who will come to Tirana tomorrow, the State Police has published a map of traffic jams and diversions, starting from 06:00 on 06.12.2022 until 18:00.
Any necessary movement by vehicle is suggested to be done before this schedule and to avoid movements on roads that will be accompanied by blockages and diversions for safety reasons.
