Tirana Citizens Gather in Protest before Interior Ministry after Vlora Accident

Dozens of citizens has gathered this Friday evening in front of the Interior Ministry to protest for the irresponsibility of the state after four members of a family died in a car crash early this day.

This accident killed Eduart Gushi, 44 years old, his wife, Silvana Gushi and their two minor daughters, Anastasia and Eva, while three young people traveling in an “Audi” vehicle, which reportedly hit the victims' vehicle from behind at a very high speed were injured.

They choose a different kind of protest, by blocking the road in front of the Interior Ministry, lying on the ground with their bicycles.

As a sign of homage to the victims of the accident, a couple, together with their two children even lit candles in front of the Ministry. According to them, this institution must take measures to prevent further fatal accidents.

"A man who travels at 150-200 km/h on a road, regardless of its limit, I think is a potential killer. Because he was not injured, but killed, took someone else’s life.

There's something wrong here. We see police officers everywhere, but these people who travel at over 150 km per hour are still active", said the head of the family in question.
