Head of the Democratic Party (DP) in branch number 8 in Tirana, Pëllumb Seferi has reportedly stated during the meeting of the College of Chairmen in the blue headquarters that Lulzim Basha has the support of PD members in the branch he leads.

In the meeting, Seferi has emphasized that the Democrats must not rush an emotional solution, but work to unite the Democratic Party by setting up a joint working commission with representatives from both sides.

Furthermore, he added that March 6 was organized by Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta to hit the leader of the Democrats Basha.

"We should not rush with emotional solutions and for personal interests, but we must work for unity. Let’s set up a negotiating group with Foltore, to get the opinion of membership. Berisha is at war with America, he cannot hold the PD hostage.

Members of branch 8 have expressed support for Chair Basha. March 6 was organized by Berisha and Meta to hit Lulzim Basha. He also had the support of Rama, he is interested in an isolated person from the West. The reason was the decision to suspend Sali Berisha from the group. Berisha is not at war with the DP, but with America and uses Basha's name to defend himself.

We need to stand up and not make emotional choices. Solutions come from us, we have legitimate bodies. MPs must be careful. If they demand Basha's resignation, they should put their mandate on the table. None of them won the mandate, we are shareholders of their mandates. Join together to set up working groups from both sides.

There must be will on both sides for this. We need people with integrity. Take the options of both sides, former party leaders, membership and find a solution. But our Euro-Atlantic approach must burn there, so there is no turning back from the September 9 decision”, stated Seferi.
