The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, during his visit to Ukraine, met with his Kyiv counterpart Vitali Klitschko. Veliaj has published a photo on social networks, next to which he writes that Klitschko led the city of Kiev in the most difficult times. 

"I'm glad that Kiev is returning to normalcy after Russia's fierce attacks, while the war is still going on in the sister city of Kharkiv and other parts of Ukraine. 

My friend Vitali Klitschko led the city through the most difficult times! As once when he was a boxer, a real champion in every ring", underlines Veliaj. 

Earlier, Veliaj held a meeting with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenski. Mayor Veliaj expressed his commitment to President Zelenski that the Municipality of Tirana will help Ukraine with the reconstruction of schools and will provide its expertise for the recovery of Ukraine as a result of the war. 

While Zelenski expressed his gratitude to Veliaj for the support that Albania and Prime Minister Edi Rama have given throughout this period.
