The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, underwent a surgical intervention this Saturday for problems in the gallbladder, municipality informed. 

So far it was learned that the surgical intervention went well at the University Hospital Center 'Mother Teresa'.

The medical team informed that the health of the mayor is stable.
