Police started this Friday an investigation against a 40-year-old woman after the release of footage from the media about a case of prostitution in Tirana.

According to the authorities, M.B., 40 years old, is accused of prostitution, as it is suspected that she committed the crime in a hotel located in Astir area of the capital.

Meanwhile, the investigation began for the 47-year-old T.S., a former employee at the hotel where prostitution was allegedly practiced, for the criminal offense of "Failure to report the crime".

On its part, the police underlined that the investigative work continues to identify and bring to the fore the legal responsibility of other citizens involved in this illegal activity.

The materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana for further actions.
