Two Policemen Left in Prison for Robbing Citizens in Tirana

The two policemen who mugged citizens near the Artificial Lake of Tirana: Sajmir Muzikanti and Serxhio Cani have been left in prison this Monday, after their criminal offenses were discovered.

Based on the investigations, the 39-year-old municipal police officer, together with police officer of station no. 1, Serxhio Cani, 22 years old, took money by force from citizens of different ages.

On his part, the municipal policeman committed the robberies while he was on duty, which is proven by his testimony.

"Every time I was on the third shift at work, I called Serxhio and told him, let's get out of the lake. Because of the loan I have, I was forced to take money from citizens with difficulty. I did this in cooperation with Serxhio", he testified.

Meanwhile Serxhio Cani, a patrol police officer, has denied that he was involved in the robbery, but the evidence gathered by his colleagues and officers of the Police Supervision Agency refutes the 22-year-old's position.

Information at hand suggests that the two policemen operated mainly in the Artificial Lake area as soon as darkness fell.
