US Ambassador Given Important Position in DOS after Leaving Albania

The American ambassador to Albania, Yuri Kim, has been appointed deputy assistant principal secretary for European Affairs in the US State Department (DOS). This is the most important task in DOS after the Secretary of State.

Kim has been officially announced as the principal deputy assistant secretary for European Affairs (and acting assistant secretary until Jim O'Brien is confirmed), starting July 10.

We recall that David Kontelancik will replace Ambassador Yuri Kim in Albania.
