A 45-year-old man was arrested by the police this Monday in the port of Vlora, after being convicted and wanted for murder.

Citizen Edmond Panaori stabbed to death citizen G. S. in the village of Mbers in Fier in 1996.

Panaori was declared wanted after the Prosecution at the Fier Judicial District Court, on 15.12.2021, issued the order for the execution of the decision of 19.11.2012, of this court, this decision reinstated in 2021, by the Supreme Court , which sentenced this citizen to 10 years of imprisonment for the criminal offense of "Deliberate murder", of which he has 3 years and 4 months left to serve.

Following arrest, the 45-year-old was handed over to the services of DVP Fier for further procedural actions.

"Border Police Services in Vlora Port had provided information that a citizen wanted for intentional homicide was trying to enter Albania through the port of Vlora.

Based on this information and within the framework of increased controls for the prevention and attack of illegality, as well as for the capture of wanted citizens who try to enter or leave this border point, the Border Police services have carried out detailed controls, as a result of which the citizen: Edmond Panaori, 45 years old, resident of Fier, was caught and arrested at the entrance, in the port of Vlora.
