The current mayor of Vlorë, Dritan Leli, has shared a photo with the candidate for mayor of the Socialist Party in Vlorë, Ermal Dredha, to whom he expressed optimism for a victory on local elections of May 14. 

Leli has been in a conflict with Prime Minister Edi Rama since general elections of 2021, as he refused to leave Mayor mandate and run for MP.

“Ermal Dredha, the candidate of the Socialist Party to run the city hall, on the eve of the mandate, is ready for this duty. He is ready from the veins of history that he and his family know from the city, from the readiness that the administrative experience has given him over the years and he is ready from the desire to push forward all the development goals of the Albanian government”, stated Leli.
