The President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, disclosed the details of the meeting with Prime Minister Edi Rama in Brussels. 

Von der Leyen states that the focus of the discussion was progress on Albania's EU membership path. She said that during the meeting they talked about the new growth plan for the Western Balkans, which, according to her, will bring the region and the EU closer together. 

"Very good meeting with Edi Rama. We discussed progress on Albania's EU membership path and our new growth plan for the Western Balkans. 

This will bring the region and the EU closer and promote the prosperity of our partners," she wrote in a tweet.
