Vucic Accuses Kosovo of Threatening Peace with Serbian Ex-Cop's Arrest

President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic has considered this Saturday as a reckless action the arrest by Kosovo's authorities of the former Serbian member of Kosovo Police, Dejan Pantic.

During a media conference, Serbia's President accused Kosovo of having threatened once again peace between the two countries with this action.

"Our services have investigated the whole case very seriously. I talked with international partners and emphasized the recklessness of those who carried out such an act and once again threatened peace," said Vucic.

On its part, Kosovo announced that on December 10, it arrested former policeman Dejan Pantic, whom it accuses of organizing the "terrorist attack" on the offices of the Central Election Commission in the north of the country.

After Pantic's arrest, local Serbs blocked the roads in the north, prompting the Kosovo Police to temporarily close the border crossings in Jarinje and Bërnjak, which connect Kosovo and Serbia.

"Panti? is still at the base of the Kosovo Police in Leposavik and the Serbs have responded to this", said Vucic.

According to Vu?i?, Panti? lives in the building where one of the offices of the municipal commissions is located, which was damaged on December 6, when the election officials, under the escort of the Police, tried to go.
