The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, called for the withdrawal of members of the Kosovo Police from the north of Kosovo. 

This call of the Serbian leader comes at a time when the security authorities have confirmed that the presence of special units of the Kosovo Police in the northern part has increased. 

During the meeting with the Danish Foreign Minister, Lars Rasmussen, in Belgrade on September 28, he called on the international community to take all measures to prevent the "dangerous and irresponsible moves of Pristina" and "to protect the Serbian population", announced The Serbian Presidency. 

Vucic described the situation in Kosovo as "the most complicated and dangerous so far" and added that the events of September 24 are "the clearest indicator of Pristina's intentions to prevent any agreement with Belgrade." 

According to the Serbian president, his country "is ready to work on continuing the dialogue mediated by the European Union". 

Kosovo police were attacked by a masked and armed group as law enforcement tried to remove barricades that had been set up on a road in the village of Banjské i Zveçani - one of four municipalities in the north, inhabited by a majority of Serbs. 

The armed group - which according to the authorities consisted of about 30 people - then took refuge in the monastery of Banjska, from where they clashed with the police throughout Sunday. 

The police and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Xhelal Sveçla, have said that the leader and participant of this attack was Millan Radoicic, vice chair of the Serb List - the main party of the Serbs in Kosovo that enjoys the support of official Belgrade. 

Regarding the participation of Radoicic - who is under American sanctions and wanted in Kosovo for intimidating witnesses in the court case known as Brezovica - Svecla has also published a video recorded with a drone, which it said shows the official of the Serbian List in Banjska. 

The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said on September 27 that Radoicic is in Serbia and he will be interrogated by the Serbian authorities. 

Currently, four people are arrested for the events in Banjska, as the Police exhibited on September 25 weapons and other equipment that they said were confiscated in this village.
