Who Was Journalist Kastriot Myftaraj

Journalist Kastriot Myftaraj ended his life this Thursday when he jumped from the fourth floor of the building he lived in on Ali Demi Street. 
Myftaraj has been a journalist, publicist and analyst in the Albanian media. 

He connected the most important events of the country with conspiracy theories, which made him find space in various media. 

Myftaraj was born in Korça in 1966, while he worked for a period of time as an assistant judge in the Court of Korça and after the fall of the communist regime in several daily newspapers in Tirana, starting with the newspaper "55", "Rilindja Demokratike", the newspaper "Sot". 

After moving to Tirana, he published several books. Kastriot Myftaraj has been part of several Albanian screens. For a long time he was part of Arian Cani's show on "Tv Klan", while recently for several years he was part of the screen of "Ora News", with his show. 

In May 2017, he was arrested by the Tirana police on the charge of 'Calling for violent acts contrary to the Constitution'. This arrest by the police came after the publication by Myftaraj of an article against Romana Vlahuti, the EU Ambassador in Albania, where he considered the diplomat a "Croatian prostitute whom the Albanians can kill".
