After the dismissal of Minister of Internal Affairs, Bledi Çuçi, the name of Taulant Balla, currently head of the SP Parliamentary Group, was sent to the Presidency office to take over the leadership of the Ministry of the Interior. 

According to sources within the majority, there are four favorite names that are proposed to replace Balla and take the leadership of the Socialist Parliamentary Group. 

The names put on the table are Ermonela Felaj, currently the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of Albania, Klotilda Bushka, currently the Chairperson of the Committee for Legal Affairs, Arben Pëllumbi, currently the Chairperson of the Committee for Production Activities, Trade and the Environment, and the name of Toni Gogu, currently vice chair of the SP Parliamentary Group.
