Wildfire Burned Three Houses in Saranda Village

Flames appeared on the hills of Livina village, in Finiq area of Southern Albania, partially burning three houses.

First to engage in extinguishing the flames were the residents of the area.

With circumstantial tools, they tried to prevent the fire from approaching other apartments.

Residents said the fire brigade arrived late. In addition to houses, the fire also destroyed considerable areas with olive trees.

Moreover, the fire brigades of Finiq, Delvina and Saranda were engaged to contain the flames, but their work was made difficult due to the hilly terrain.

During the afternoon, a helicopter came to their aid. There are several hearths in the entire active village.

On the other had, police have managed to identify the perpetrator of the fire, 36-year-old Mario Buzuka, who was declared wanted.

Buzuka from the village of Livina i Finiq had lit a fire on his land, but the flames spread quickly and burned a very large area, and as a result, 3 apartments were partially burned, endangering others.
