Zelensky Addresses Albanian Parliament as Ukraine War Rages

Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky began his speech in front of the MPs of the Albanian Parliament on Tuesday, thanking Albania for its clear position against Russia as well as for the assistance provided to his country.

At the beginning of his speech, Zelensky stressed that Russia has endangered the lives of all Ukrainians as he mentioned the 14-year-old killed and 17-year-old wounded during the rocket attack in Odessa.

"The people of Albania and all Muslims around the world celebrated Eid al-Fitr. I congratulate you for this holiday. I wish you what Ukrainians now wish each other: Peace! Russia has turned all our days into a danger to life.

Yesterday due to a rocket in Odessa, a 14-year-old boy lost his life and a 17-year-old girl was injured. Every day we lose children from Russian attacks. 220 children were killed and 406 were injured. Today is a farewell ceremony for the REL journalist who was killed by a Russian missile in Kiev", said Zelensky in front of the Albanian Parliament.

The special session begun at 13:00 and the Ukrainian president will deliver his speech in front of Albanian lawmakers through the "ZOOM" platform, as announced. 

After many messages sent to the parliaments of the most powerful countries of the globe, Zelensky chose to address even the smallest countries, a list in which Albania is also this Tuesday. 

In addition to addressing lawmakers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and Italy in an effort to show the world Ukraine's pain, Zelensky has begun hosting the top world leaders in visits to his office in the Ukrainian capital following the liberation of Kyiv.
