Zelensky Demands More Long-Range Weapons from West

Volodymyr Zelenksiy has again called for more long-range weapons from Western allies as he addressed EU leaders at a meeting in Brussels.

Ukrainian president was speaking at the EU summit virtually, from a moving train at an undisclosed location in Ukraine, where he shared news from the front line.

On Wednesday, Zelensky visited the front line near the besieged city of Bakhmut, where he met the Ukrainian military and held a moment of silence for the war dead.

His account of the "devastating" scenes he witnessed was emotional and had a huge impact on the 27 EU leaders and senior officials in Brussels as they listened.

According to an EU source, he warned European leaders of five factors that could prolong the war, including delays in the delivery of long-range missiles, a lack of modern aircraft and weaknesses in Western sanctions.

EU leaders are now discussing the Russian invasion, where they are expected to approve a decision to supply Ukraine with one million rounds of ammunition within the next twelve months to replenish its dwindling stocks.
