Pilot Found Dead after Greek Air Forces Plane Crashed
A Greek Air Force plane crashed at around 10.30am local time, 25 miles from Andravida airport near Pyrgos in the Peloponnese.
One of the pilots of the Greek military plane that crashed into the sea off the coast of Katakolo in Pyrgo was found dead.
The victim's name is Marios Mihail Tauricika, 29 years old. The fate of the other pilot, Eftathios Citlakidhis, 31 years old, is not yet known. His body has not yet been found, but for the authorities he is already considered dead.
The area where the plane crashed is 8 miles north-west of the port of Katakolos. The training plane of the Fantom F4 model had taken off from Andravidha airport 40 km away from the crash site and was conducting training.
