Abazovic Involved in Vehicle Incident
Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montenegro has announced that the authorities are conducting an investigation since on July 31, Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic could have faced an accident as a result of the malfunctioning of the braking system in the state car.
The incident happened in Obzovic while the car was about 50 meters ahead of a downhill road when a problem with the braking system was discovered.
Prime Minister Dritan Abazovic had left for an official visit to Tivat and at the moment when a problem with the car was discovered, the vehicle in which Abazovic was traveling moved to the side of the highway.
Then the Prime Minister of Montenegro used another vehicle to continue the journey.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Podgorica has shown that from the investigations so far it has been revealed that it is a technical problem of the vehicle due to its age and many kilometers.
Filip Axhic, who is part of Abazovic's party and at the same time the Minister of the Interior in Montenegro, immediately carried out a security inspection at the moment the incident occurred.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs in Montenegro has stated that the age of the vehicles used to transport high officials safely is 12 years.
