Durres Port Jan-Apr Passenger Traffic Rises 3% y/y

Albania’s Port of Durres welcomed 151,000 passengers in the first four months of 2025, up 3% year-on-year, the Durres Port Authority (DPA) said on Thursday.

Albania’s Port of Durres welcomed 774,916 passengers in 2024, down 6% year-on-year, DPA said in January.

The country has three operational seaports for passenger’ transport: Durres, Vlora, and Limjon in Saranda. The port in Durres was the main hub during the first quarter of the year, handling 81% of all passengers.

The Port of Durrës is the largest seaport of Albania. The port is situated in the city of Durrës. It is an artificial basin that is formed between two moles, with a west-northwesterly oriented entrance approximately 183 meters wide as it passes between the ends of the moles.
