Albania Invites Czech Investors, Higher Co-op Eyed

The Minister of Economy, Culture and Innovation, Blendi Gonxhe, described the working meeting with the Czech delegation where the increase of investments and trade exchanges was discussed as a new chapter in Albania-Czech cooperation.

A delegation from the Czech Republic headed by the Minister of Industry and Trade, Josef Sikela visited Tirana. The visit was organized with the coordination of AIDA - Albanian Investment Development Agency and Economy Ministry.

The focus of the meetings was the increase of investments and trade exchanges with the Czech Republic, cultural rapprochement and promotion of tourism, and support in the EU membership process.

"Entrepreneurship in a new market is full of challenges and uncertainty, so we assured of our commitment to Czech investors at every step of this journey, in the common economic interest of both countries," said Gonxhe on social networks.

Gonxhe informed that he signed a bilateral agreement of concrete engagement, expanding the working groups of the Czech-Albanian Inter-institutional Official Commission.

Representatives from business and chambers of commerce were also present at the discussions, who, according to Minister Gonxhe, enriched the dialogue with fruitful B2B meetings.

Gonxhja said that Albania offers many opportunities in many sectors for Czech investments.

Presented at the Albania-Czech Business Forum in Tirana, the minister said that Albania is becoming more and more attractive to foreign investors.

"Your decision to explore business opportunities in Albania is a testament to the growing bilateral relations between the two countries and the mutual trust we share. As a minister, I stand before you with a deep sense of responsibility and commitment to promote strong partnerships and to facilitate investments that will benefit both our countries," said Gonxhe.

"For Czech investors and businessmen, Albania offers a multitude of opportunities and a diverse range of sectors. Moreover, Albania's young and qualified workforce, together with competitive labor costs, presents a compelling proposition for investors looking to establish a presence in the region," the minister emphasized.
