SPAK Postpones Investigations for Meta with 3 Months

The Special Prosecution against Corruption (SPAK) postponed with three months investigations for former President Ilir Meta.

He is accused for corruption, money laundry and concealment of wealth. Investigations against him are going on since last October, when he was arrested.

SPAK launched investigations against Meta on suspicion that he influenced the conclusion of the agreement between CEZ company and DIA, by favoring the businessman Kastriot Ismail in exchange for money.

Likewise, the couple, Ilir Meta and Monika Kryemadhi are suspected for influencing in exchange for corruption for the conclusion of an interconnexion agreement between a businessman and a mobile phone company as well as for not declaring monetary amounts for surgical interventions in a private clinic outside Albania.
