Albania is neither Muslim nor Christian, but Muslim and Christian; Rama
Prime Minister Edi Rama stressed Friday that Albania is neither Muslim nor Christian, but it is both Muslim and Christian while attending the reconstruction ceremony of Father Gjergj Fishta's house in in Fishta settlement of Lezha.
During his speech on the day of the poet's birth, the Head of Albanian Government said that Fishta was a great man one of the greatest progressives of the nation.
PM Rama appreciated Fishta area in Lezhë County of northwestern Albania as he added there are also gossipmongers and lazy people who have fun with their parents' money.
“I want, for the sake of the truth, to thank someone who is neither an official nor a researcher, but is one of the most beautiful people I have known thanks to my job, I am talking about Altin of Mrizi. He is an inspiration for us, to rebuild Fishta's itinerary, starting from this house and continuing further.
Not to honor the memory of a great man who does not need what we are doing and will do, but to strengthen an identity of this area that is a surprising combination of a special nature. A special hospitality that has created that tradition that today has caught a worthy culture in Europe. If we are capable, like some immigrants who have returned and invested, and not like the gossipmongers that complain
If we are capable, this area will be prosperous where everyone will want to come. Fishta’s House is an aspiration to increase the stones of culture, in a place where this need is extraordinary. Albania is neither Muslim nor Christian, but Muslim and Christianâ€, stated the Premier.
