Covid-19, Albania Lifts All Pandemic Measures

Technical Committee of Health Experts in Albania has decided to lift all measures aimed at curbing the spread of coronavirus pandemic nationwide. 

Starting form May 1, music will be allowed at the local bar after 11pm and nightclubs will be allowed to open doors. At the same time, all border crossings obligation to present a vaccination certificate or negative test was lifted.

Wearing masks will not be an obligation, but the Committee recommended that they continue to be used indoors as the virus is still present. Vaccination with the fourth dose is recommended for all age groups over 60 years.

More than 3 million doses of vaccines have arrived in Albania and 50 percent of the population over 16 years of age and older have been vaccinated with two doses.
