Albania-N.Macedonia-Serbia to Help Each Other in Case of Food Crisis
Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kova?eski expressed his satisfaction with the Open Balkans initiative, as he said that the countries of the initiative will help each other in case of lack of food products or energy supply.
In his speech at the "Open Balkans" Summit, Kovaceski said the 3 countries of the Open Balkans will commit to facilitating the free movement of goods and citizens.
"Getting together is the beginning. Working together is success. Working together is the engine that drives us forward, through the challenges of the harsh winter that the whole world fears. Together we are committed to facilitating the free movement of goods and people. This cooperation has opened the way for us to manage the challenges of food transportation for our citizens. We will commit to the availability of food for our citizens. We will help each other in case there is a shortage of food products. There will be circulation without any restrictions for essential products, sugar, flour, dairy", said Dimitar Kova?eski.
However, Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Serbian President, Aleksandar Vu?i?, and the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, are participating in this meeting.
In addition to the 3 leaders, the acting Prime Minister of Montenegro, Dritan Abazovic, as well as representatives from Hungary and Turkey, will be present at the meeting.
Press conference of the leaders of the Open Balkans is expected at 13:00.
Since yesterday, Rama has been in Belgrade, where the Wine Fair was opened, which is titled "Vision of Summer" and was organized by Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia within the framework of the Open Balkans initiative.
