Albania to Benefit from EUR 5.5 Mln Project on Operational Capacities Enhancement
Albania can benefit now from a new EUR 5.5 million project to improve operational capacity of Ministry of Defence, announced Friday the Ambassador of European Union to Tirana, Luigi Soreca as he underlined that the structure he represents will always stand by the country in hard times.
The EU Ambassador released the good news after thanking Armed forces, firefighters & local authorities that worked around the clock to combat the fires and pronouncing proud of the Dutch and Czech forces that helped Albania against the fires.
"Now that most of wildfires that endangered lives and environment in Albania are out, it's time to thank Albanian Armed forces, firefighters & local authorities who heroically fought risking their lives.
Proud of the support brought by the Dutch and Czech helicopters and specialized crews deployed under EU Civil Protection & Humanitarian Aid - ECHO EUCivPro mechanism.
Looking ahead, it's time to enhance disaster prevention & preparedness.
