Vice Minister of Health and Social Protection, Eugena Tomini has declared Monday that Albania currently has 620.000 doses of stock vaccine that are expected to be applied for the third dose in certain categories that have been approved to become part of this vaccination plan.

In the Committee on Health and Social Affairs, Tomini stated that Sinovac doses will be applied in the third dose. She stressed that all those who have taken the first doses of Astra Zeneca will not take Sputnik and vice versa.

"We have adhered to the target for vaccination. Recommendations are being accelerated towards the action plan. Regarding mortality, mortality rate and all other data are accurate obtained from all structures that monitor patients in terms of COVID.

The centralization of cases in COVID 1 and COVID 3 has outlined throughout the phase of the pandemic, passing step by step depending on the capacities exhausted at the central level, in the regional hospitals. "Astra Zeneca will not be applied to the entire population that has applied Sputnik. Conversely for all those who have taken Astra Zeneca, the third dose of Sputnik will not be applied. Every recommendation has been followed step by step", Tomini declared

However, the Democrat MP Tritan Shehu reacted harshly, stressing that the use of Sinovac for a third dose is the biggest irresponsibility that can exist.

"The third dose Sinovac. This is the biggest irresponsibility you can do. I had never heard of this. I just did not expect this from you today. "I am very sorry to hear this word", said Shehu.
