The family members have announced that on the afternoon of October 5, Sulejman Maliqati, the "Honour of the Nation", passed away at the age of 94. 

He was known as the "black cat" of the Albanian goal and became a legend in the 50s and 60s. Despite the care of the doctors, during the last days, after the injuries suffered in an incident, he passed away, leaving behind sadness and pain. 

Maliqati has entered the golden book of our football, as the flying goalkeeper, the excellent defender of the gate, part of the teams of Besa, Partizani, Lokomotiva and the national team.
