The minister emphasized that the medalists and their coaches will be supported with rewards while adding that she hopes that these two medals will be an inspiration and example for the youth of the country.
"We know that every victory, no matter how personal, is a team victory, and of course I would like to express gratitude to all of you as a national team. I want to especially thank our boys, our two medalists who made us proud. We experienced a lot of emotions. We were all there with all our heart and soul. Thank you for your achievements and for raising the flag of Albania. I want to tell you that the Albanian government is committed to support athletes in many ways, in terms of preparation and support through sports infrastructure.
With the 2024 budget, we have enabled the increase of the budget for the 8 federations to enable the preparation for the Olympic games. The rewards system also enables dedicated rewards for our medalists. They will have specific support from the Albanian government and for their three coaches. The support for the medalists in all the participating championships is also dedicated to the athlete and the coach. We hope that these two medals will be an example and model of inspiration for our young people," Manastirliu emphasized.
