Albanian Wrestler Wins the Historical Bronze Medal

THe wrestler who represents Albania, Chermen Valiev, has won the Olympic bronze medal this Saturday. This is a historic medal, the first ever or Albania.

Valievi, who is from Russia but now competes for Albania, competed on Friday in the category up to 74 kilograms, in freestyle. First he won 4:3 against Turan Bayramov of Azerbaijan.

The 25-year-old won the Bronze medal in the 74 kg freestyle, defeating the Tajik 6-2. This is Albania's first medal in its history at the Olympic Games, which came after a fantastic performance from Valiev, as hopes remain for another bronze medal with Chechen wrestler Islam Dudaev, who returns to the competition after the Iranian's victory Amouzadkhalili in the semi-finals.
