US Ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim has arrived this Friday at the premises of the High Prosecutorial Council (HPC), where the session for the election of the new head of the Special Prosecution against Organized Crime and Corruption (SPAK) was held, since the process will be monitored by the US Embassy in Albania to avoid vulnerability. 

During the session, Adnan Xholi, Altin Dumani and Edvin Kondili presented their platforms, while the one who will convince HPC the most will take the leadership of SPAK until 2025. 

However, a KLP member, Esmeralda Keshi, was absent in today's session, the meeting continued without her presence. 

During these days, Ambassador Juri Kim has continuously appealed that the choice of Arben Kraja's successor should not be influenced by politics. 

In response to the ambassador's call, Prime Minister Rama declared that the head of the special prosecution is not chosen by the government or the embassy, but by the members of the Prosecutorial Council.
