As Cyber ??attacks pose a serious threat to Albanian institutions, the General Directorate of Civil Affairs has announced that measures are being taken in relation to this situation. 

Through an announcement, the Directorate informs that on Friday, September 16, it will not be possible to offer service at the "Aleat" application offices for biometric documents (passport or ID card). 

"In order to increase the level of security against cyber attacks, the General Directorate of Civil Affairs is undertaking a series of integrated measures. In this context, on Friday, September 16, GJC announces that it will NOT be possible to offer service at the "Aleat" application offices for biometric documents (passport or ID card). 

The Ministry of the Interior asks for the understanding of all citizens for this temporary interruption of service, only for Friday, but this intervention adds to the complex measures to guarantee uninterrupted and safe service for every citizen", it is announced.
