Albanian Road Authority (ARA) has appealed Friday on drivers to be extra careful when travelling as bad weather conditions have engulfed Albania.

In its announcement, the ARA revealed that Zapod bridge in Shishtavec of Kukës region has been damaged as a result of bad weather last night.

Strong winds and rain have taken this bridge out of operation and currently it is not crossed, said the Authority while revealing that the bodies responsible are cleaning the streets off debris.

“During the night there was heavy rainfall causing rocks and materials to fall on the body of the road.

In the axis Bridge of Zapodit-Shishtavec, as a result of heavy rain, a bridge has been damaged, signalization is being placed and the first measures are being taken. Maintenance contractors are on site to clear the axes

Road users to be careful in movement and to respect the road signs, to reduce the speed due to the humidity on the road”, pronounced the ARA.
