Athens, Albanian Gunned Down in Cold Blood

An assassination took place Sunday in a cafe in Athens, where an Albanian lost his life. The Protothema newspaper reported that the event took place in the Sepolia neighborhood and the perpetrator entered the cafe, shot the Albanian 8 times with a firearm and then fled.

According to the Greek media, the crime took place in Sepolia, at 30 Durrachiou Street, where a gunman broke into a cafe, shot the Albanian in the head and killed him.

Information from the report speaks of a mafia strike, specifically for clearing accounts between drug trafficking gangs operating in the center of Athens.

According to the latest information, the victim, who received eight bullets, was 34 years old, a marked criminal. This is Aristides Pappas, originally from Northern Epirus.

He has previously been charged with robbery and drug trafficking. In fact, he had been imprisoned, while there had been three attempted murders.
